Terms and conditions

If you confirm a booking with us, we will assume you have read and accepted our terms and conditions as set out below.

Deposits & Payment

Deposits – We require a Debit or Credit card deposit to secure your booking.

All deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE and as such, we recommend you obtain travel insurance against cancellation. In addition, deposits are not transferable.

Balances – The balance is payable upon arrival and we will take the amount from the credit/debit card number you used when booking. If you prefer to pay in cash please advise at the time of booking. We accept most major credit cards with the exception of American Express or Diners. You may incur an additional administration fee to cover bank charges when using a credit card.

Cancellation

When you make a reservation it is a legal contract between Bluebell House and yourself. Please note that our cancellation policy is part of this contract.

Cancellation by guests:
If you need to cancel your booking for any reason, please let us know as soon as possible.

  • Up to 3 days notice - No charge, except for your non-refundable deposit
  • Less than 3 days notice -The full cost of your booking will be taken from your debit/credit card unless we are able to re book your room (deposit is non-refundable)
  • No contact or no show by 7pm (19.00) on arrival day - the full value of the booking will be charged to your debit/credit card.
  • No reduction is made for temporary absence or for departure earlier than confirmed.

We would recommend that you take out travel insurance to cover you in the event of cancellation.

Cancellation by us: Should it be necessary for us to cancel a booking, we will contact you immediately to explain the situation and your deposit will be refunded in full.

Room Change: If the situation occurs where we have to move you to a different room you will be moved to an equivalent priced room or upgraded.

Damage/Breakages  - We expect guests to treat the premises and contents with care and respect. In the event of damage to Guest House property, we reserve the right to charge to replace, repair or professionally clean the item concerned.

Check In - Guests can check in anytime from 3.00 pm until 7.00 pm on the day of arrival. We will always try to be flexible and certainly with prior arrangement, alternative times will usually be possible. As we are not always at the house, it is imperative that you give your preferred time of arrival so we can be at the house to show you to your room, or make arrangements for access.

Check Out - Rooms must be vacated by 10.30 on your day of departure.

Non Smoking Policy - In the interest of the comfort and safety of our guests, we operate a strict 'Non-Smoking policy throughout the Guest House. In the event of non-complliance, a charge of £50.00 will be levied for professional cleaning of the room.

Pets – As much as we love our animal friends, pets are not allowed at Bluebell House Sorry !
